A Star is Born is one of the most beloved and critically acclaimed movies of 2018, and it seems Kelly Clarkson is also a huge fan as she delivered a powerful rendition of hit song “Shallow” at one of her latest shows.

Despite the fact she has dozens of hit songs on her resume, Clarkson often celebrates her favorite artists by performing covers of their tracks during her concerts. Lady Gaga was the latest singer she showered with compliments before performing her Oscar-nominated tune.

“It’s
cool just to know that someone that talented is also really nice. I’ve been
rooting for her for a while. This song, I just, I love it. It’s from that movie
that she’s nominated for a billion awards for, and I hope she wins… I hope I
don’t suck, and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it!” said Kelly Clarkson.

The
audience went crazy after the singer announced which song she’s going to
perform, and she gave them chills with her take on this moving power ballad. We’re
sure Lady Gaga would approve!
