Mumford and Sons Share Dance-Filled Video for New Song “Woman”

Mumford and Sons gave us a series of elaborate music videos over the years, but they opted for something much simpler for their new song “Woman”. The dance-filled video for their latest single is lo-fi perfection, and it did a great job capturing the lyrics of this emotional track.

This music video was choreographed by Kristin Sudeikis, and it features a pair of dancers – Yeman Brown and Stephanie Crousillat. Lead guitarist Winston Marshall came up with the idea for this video after being moved to tears by Brown’s improvised dance routine to Beyoncé’s smash hit “Halo”.

“Woman” was featured on the band’s chart-topping studio album Delta, and this video perfectly embodies its complex nature.

“It’s
a little deceptive because the story of the song isn’t the woman. It’s the love
between those two people and that’s why the video is clever: It reveals that
throughout the song. It’s not something that smacks you in the face the first
second of the video, it’s something you learn,” explained Marshall while
chatting with Dance Magazine.
