Lil Nas X’s hit “Old Town Road” took the music world by storm in recent months thanks to its unusual combination of hip-hop and country. Well, as it turns out, the song is so good, that it would be a hit in any other genre. How do we know? Well, we have Our Last Night to thank for that.

This American post-hardcore band recently presented their screamo
take on “Old Town Road,” and it is as awesome as it gets. The group’s
vocalist Matthew Wentworth leads in with a soft voice intro before exploding
into a metal chorus.

Road” below.

This isn’t the first time that Our Last Night takes on pop
and rap songs and gives them hardcore or metal treatment. Some of their
previous works include covers of Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” Drake’s
“God’s Plan,” “Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” and “Kendrick
Lamar’s “HUMBLE.”
