Faith No More Have No Plans to Record New Music

Faith No More recently got back together, reuniting after
four years for a European tour in the summer of 2020. While the fans hoped the
reunion would also be followed by a new album, this doesn’t seem to be the
case.

In a recent interview with Kerrang!, keyboardist Roddy
Bottum said that the group doesn’t intend to record new music at the time.

“You know, there are no plans right now to record any new music. There are no plans at all” said Bottum. “I think our legacy speaks for itself in the way the world is right now. It’s refreshing and it’s appropriately provocative to throw ourselves into the world again. It’s a good example of eccentric leftism, if you will.”

The new Faith No More record seemed more likely in 2018 when
Bottum revealed that the group is writing new material. He said back then that
he occasionally gets together with drummer Mike Bordin and bassists Billy
Gould, and that they are “making music” in their hometown of San
Francisco.

Faith No More is scheduled to kick off their tour in June with five shows in the United Kingdom. They will follow up on the UK trip with dates in Norway, Czech Republic, and Portugal.
