Although classical music and heavy metal may not seem like a
natural fit, it turns out that this combination can sometimes work really well.
The latest proof for this is a cello cover of Slipknot’s “The Devil In
I” from YouTube user Sugar Cello.

This talented musician recently uploaded a video of him
covering the song and quickly garnered big attention from internet users. In
the clip, Sugar Cello can be seen playing “The Devil In I” in front
of a white background while wearing different kinds of masks, which are one of
Slipknot’s trademarks.

You can hear this chilling cover and watch the theatrical
video below.

“This project was created with love and was driven by
passion.” – Sugar Cello wrote in the description of the video. “One
of the challenges I encountered in the making was to insufflate a more
orchestral feel to Slipknot’s material.”

“The Devil In I” was released in 2014 as a second single from Slipknot’s fifth studio album .5: The Gray Chapter. Since then, the track has become a fan favorite and one of the highlights of their live sets.
